The Book of Facts was first published in 1991 by the publishing company Adnkronos Libri.
History
The book, adapted for the Italian public, is the updated version of the American best-seller, the World Almanac, which provides a comprehensive summary of the year’s main events.
The project
Tens of thousands of news stories, thousands of photos, quizzes, tables, and statistics are brought together in the volume, which is a useful work tool for industry professionals, as well as for the general public.
The text, which opens with the section dedicated to a “year under the microscope’, unravels with facts, news and data covering all areas of information: From economics to health, from politics to sport, from the Internet to travel by means of dates, in-depth analyses and sheets. To guide readers along the way, there is a series of mainstays represented by people and works that have left an indelible mark throughout the year.
Furthermore, each year, the Book of Facts offers special information dedicated to a different topic, which is usually selected from the most important topics that emerged during the year.
